The Scientific Research Center at college of science has successfully organized a training course titled “General DNA Technology” from January 13 to 15, 2025. The event was inaugurated with the esteemed presence of the Dean of the College of Science and the Head of the Scientific Research Center Department.

This three-day workshop aimed to explore the fundamental principles and practical applications of DNA technology. It brought together postgraduate students and researchers, fostering an environment for learning, networking, and collaboration.

The training course offered a series of theoretical sessions conducted by SRC staff, covering a range of topics such as:

• DNA structure and functionality

• Advanced techniques in DNA extraction and analysis

• Applications of DNA technology in medical, microbiological, and agricultural fields

In addition to these theoretical insights, participants engaged in practical sessions that included hands-on training in DNA extraction and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) processes as well as data analysis. These activities allowed attendees to gain valuable practical experience, enhancing their understanding of the theoretical knowledge presented during the lectures.

This successful event underscores the commitment of the College of Science and the Scientific Research Center at the University of Duhok to advancing scientific education and research in the region.
