Scientific Visit of College of Science Students (Computer Science Department) to the HITEX International Exhibition

Within the framework of the University of Duhok and the College of Science's commitment to practical application and linking theoretical knowledge with real-world technological advancements, a group of students from the Computer Science Department conducted a scientific field visit to the HITEX International Exhibition in Erbil on Thursday, October 8, 2026, under the supervision of Lecturer Nejin Abdulrazzaq and Lecturer Shivan Qasim.

The main objectives of this visit were:

🔹 Getting Familiar with Modern Technologies: Students gained firsthand insight into the latest products and innovations from local and international companies in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Information Systems, and Software Development.

🔹 Broadening Intellectual and Scientific Horizons: Experiencing contemporary projects and technological products serves as a strong incentive for developing students' creative capabilities and building a clear vision regarding the future job market.

🔹 Building Bridges of Communication: Students had the opportunity to engage in discussions with technology experts and innovators, learning directly from their experiences.

Such scientific activities and field trips are part of the structured program designed by the University of Duhok and implemented by the College of Science and the Computer Science Department to elevate students' academic levels and prepare them as qualified, skilled professionals for the future job market.
