Delegation from VŠB–Technical University of Ostrava visits the University of Duhok

A delegation from the Department of Geological Engineering - Faculty of Mining and Geology at VŠB–Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, visited the University of Duhok as part of the ongoing academic cooperation between the two universities under their signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

During the visit, both parties discussed and agreed on opportunities for student and academic staff mobility, including arrangements for fourth-year students from the Department of Geology, College of Science, University of Duhok, to undertake their graduation projects at VŠB–Technical University of Ostrava. This initiative aims to enhance students’ academic knowledge, practical skills, and research experience through international academic exchange.

Furthermore, the two universities agreed to organize scientific field trips to various locations across Duhok Governorate to support joint research activities and strengthen scientific collaboration between their academic staff. These activities are expected to foster knowledge exchange, promote joint research, and establish stronger academic ties between the two institutions.

The College of Science extends its sincere appreciation to the Dean for warmly welcoming the visiting delegation, alongside the academic staff of the Department of Geology, and for supporting the development of international academic cooperation and research partnerships.
