Today, Monday, May 11, 2026, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Aziz Ibrahim, alongside a number of faculty members and students, a scientific activity was organized by the fourth-year students of the Biology Department. The event focused on "Antimicrobial Drug Resistance," which is considered a global issue and has been labeled the "hidden pandemic" by the World Health Organization. The purpose of this activity was to raise awareness about the topic, issue warnings regarding the use of antimicrobial drugs without consulting a specialist, and highlight the risks involved as well as methods of prevention. Notably, this activity was organized by the Biology Department under the supervision of Dr. Ali Yahya.
