On (23-01-2025), at the University of Duhok, in the Students' Center at the College of Peshmerga, a scientific activity was conducted in coordination with the international organization (UNICEF). The event was attended by the President of the University (Dr. Dawood Suleiman), Dr. Luqman Hadi Hassan, Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, and Dr. Nabaz Ibrahim Mohammed, Assistant to the University President for Student Affairs. Additionally, several deans of colleges, directors of departments, professors, and students were present.

The event began with a welcome speech by the Dean of the College of Science and the supervisor of the project, Participatory Action Research, (Dr. Mohammed Aziz Ibrahim). He expressed his gratitude to the international organization for its support of this project and extended his thanks to the students who participated in it.

The project involved 29 participating students who shared their stories during the four months the project was carried out.

The main objective of this project was to address the challenges related to Duhok's water system, raise awareness within the community, and empower the participating students to become active, knowledgeable, and capable leaders in addressing societal issues. Certificates of participation were distributed to the students at the end of the project.
