Justification: Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is an essential kind of spectroscopy in chemistry. Proton NMR It is used immensely in organic chemistry for organic compound characterization. It can detect the types and number ofprotons in organic compound and consequently used to diagnose the organic compound. Also, l3C NMR is a concomitant spectroscopic tool to diagnose organic compound. Hence, both techniques are essential for organic chemist in research' MestReNova is a widespread software used to elucidate the NMR spectra and analyse the given NMR spectra for organic compound characterization.

Objectives: This workshop will lntroduce NMR MestReNovain software to academic staff and postgraduate students of different disciplines.
