Justification: is a branch of chemistry that uses computers to assist in solving chemical problems. Also, uses the results of theoretical chemistry, incorporated into efficient commputer programs, to calculate the structures and properties of molecules and solids'
computationaLChemistry can (in some cases) predict hitherto unobserved chemical phenomena. Computational chemistry nowadays widely used in the design of new drugs and materials.

Objectives: Introduce computational chemistry to academic staff and the post graduate students of different disciplines.
To encourage academic staff and the post graduate students to utilize useful softwares such as Hypechern', Chemoffice and Gaussian in their study, hence the workshop will focus on how to drive these software and analyse results obtained from this software.
