On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Scientific Research Center at the College of Science organized an honorary ceremony at the (H2 Hub) hall. The event was held in the presence of the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Aziz Ibrahem, and the Head of the Scientific Research Center, Dr. Iman Hussein Fadhiladeen.

The ceremony recognized a group of distinguished faculty members for their outstanding contributions to scientific research in several categories:

• Highest International Publications: At the department level in reputable journals.
• Most Cited Researchers: At the college level.
• Highest Impact Factor (IF) and International Collaborations.
• Research Grants and Financial Support.

A special highlight of the ceremony was honoring five undergraduate students from the Physics Department. These students were named "Best Young Researchers" after successfully publishing their scientific research in high-impact international journals.

The Dean expressed his gratitude to the Research Center and the faculty members, praising their efforts in elevating the college’s academic standing. Notably, the College of Science achieved a remarkable milestone this year with 216 total scientific publications, contributing 45% of the University of Duhok's total international research output.
